After studying at Magdalen College School, Oxford, Dan graduated from St John’s College, Cambridge University having been awarded the prestigious Sheikh Zayed prize for his work in Islamic Studies.
Since graduating, Dan has worked as a professional tutor for several years, accumulating over three thousand hours of experience teaching a wide range of subjects. He works for several of the top private tuition agencies in London and internationally.
Dan specialises in 11+ and 13+ preparation for top independent schools based in the United Kingdom, having successfully helped students gain entry to schools such as: Eton (King’s Scholarship), St Paul’s, Westminster, Highgate, Latymer Upper, and many more. He teaches Religious Studies, English, History and Philosophy from the primary years to A-Level and UCAS applications, with a particular focus on Philosophy and Religious Studies admissions for Oxbridge and other Ivy League universities.
Dan also has extensive experience working with students for whom English is a second language, helping them prepare for common entrance examinations whilst also improving their grasp of the English Language. Additionally, Dan has helped students successfully prepare for the 7+ and 8+.
Whether it be working toward a common entrance exam, improving general study skills, or exploring beyond the curriculum with motivated students - Dan has the experience and enthusiasm to help.
Our Services
Within the initial assessment Dan will hold an hour long session with the student, as well as providing and marking external tests in English, Maths and Reasoning (if applicable). The parent and/or guardian will then receive feedback on the student’s academic abilities as well as educational consulting advice on the best path, based on Dan’s extensive experience.
This is an initial ten session package where Dan provides a structured approach to the student’s goals, with regular homework (marking included) and feedback sessions with the student’s parents and/or guardian. This will comprise of ten hours one-to-one teaching time.
Comprehensive and structured approach specifically tailored for your individual educational needs, with consultancy advice provided regarding specific schools. 15 hours of one-to-one tuition with feedback and marked homework provided.
